Scape is an environmental creation system which allows for spontaneous creativity.  It breaks away from electronics and encourages kids, teens, and adults to use their own imagination.
There are four main purposes of Scape:

1. return to simpler form of play
2. get away from electronics
3. teach the importance of quality materials and construction
4. evolve with the user for greater product longevity

If we can encourage children to play with non-electronic products, then they will learn to use their own imaginations to create, as well as learning to take care of and maintain a quality product with a long life span.  Children no longer see imaginative play as an easy option and the concept of using what you have to make your own fun has been lost.  Technology is consuming the toy and game industry and the short life span of electronics decreases childrens attention spans due to use of electronics.
