Scientific illustration: Mammals for LIC Universidade de Aveiro (PT)

Illustrations created for the biology faculty at the UA (Portugal) where I teach a module on digital illustration.

I've been imparting a seminar and workshop for several years and, as part of the course (CFIC) and activities in the laboratory of scientific illustration (LIC) I had to come up with different pieces to showcase and teach students how to create and communicate science through illustration using digital tools. Not only drawing and painting techniques are taught, but also workflow best practices and we put great focus on how digital tools can help productivity.

These mammals are part of the work I've created for several activities, including the course itself, illustration festivals where we've presented papers on this subject matter (CONFIA International Illustration Festival) and expositions in the campus gallery among other.
