Buried Not Forgotten
Sydney Town Hall sits on the site of what was once the principal cemetery of NSW. Dating back to the 1790s,
the site is commonly called the Old Sydney Burial Ground.

In this piece, I make reference to the burial ground in the form of the entire Town Hall being buried and entombed.
The large central rock, represents the graves which were never excavated or relocated at the time. They form the
foundations that now house Sydney Town Hall. The surrounding foreground and background is a symbol
of new beginning, growth and the future.
