Rebuild : ratio
Rebuild: ratio’ is an espresso machine with professional feel and usability. Those who want to create their own home cafe want to experience the process from grinding to organizing like a professional. However, professional coffee machines are not only functional but also have products for each process. We wanted to design an espresso machine that would make the actual process of making coffee easy and give it a professional look.
‘Rebuild:ratio’ 는 전문가스러운 느낌을 연출함과 동시에 사용성을 고려한 반자동 커피머신입니다. 자신만의 홈카페를 만들고 싶어하는 사람들은 전문가와 같이 그라인딩부터 정리하기까지의 과정들을 직접 경험해보고자 합니다. 반면 전문가용 커피머신들은 기능이 많을 뿐더러 각각의 과정을 위한 제품들이 따로 존재하고 있습니다. 저희는 커피를 만드는 실제 과정은 쉽지만 외관상으로는 전문가적인 느낌을 연출할 수 있는 반자동 커피머신을 디자인하고자 하였습니다.
'Rebuild: ratio' looks complicated, but it looks like it's organized so you can feel like a pro. There are three shape concepts: layer, build, and tool.
'Rebuild:ratio'는 단순하지도 않으며 복잡한것 같지만 정리되어있는것. 즉, 전문가와 같은 느낌을 연출할 수 있도록 layer, build, tool 이렇게 세가지의 형태 컨셉을 가지고 있습니다.
Designed based on the above needs, 'Rebuild: ratio' is an espresso machine that has the appearance to produce professional feeling and can solve both needs at the same time by using the product and efficient movement.
위와 같은 니즈를 바탕으로 디자인된 'Rebuild:ratio'는 전문가적인 느낌을 연출할 수 있는 외관과 동시에 사용과정 속의 움직임을 최적화하여 두 가지 니즈를 동시에 해소시킬 수 있는 반자동 커피머신입니다.

'Rebuild: ratio' analog type grinder door is able to distinguish between grinding part and discharge part by opening and
closing action and minimizing porter filter movement.
'Rebuild:ratio'의 아날로그 방식의 그라인더 문은 열고 닫는 행동으로 그라인딩파트와 토출구 파트를 확실하게
구분시킬 수 있으며 포터필터의 이동을 최소화 시킬 수 있습니다.
The water around the machine can easily get dirty in the splashing process. To prevent this, the part of the drip tray is made of diagonal lines. This is to induce water to enter the product when it falls from the top to the bottom to prevent the surroundings from getting dirty.
물이 하단으로 떨어진 후 튀는 과정에서 커피머신의 주변은 쉽게 더러워질 수 있습니다. 이를 방지하기 위해 물받이의 파트는 사선으로 이루어져 있습니다. 이는 물이 위에서 아래로 떨어졌을때 제품 안쪽으로 유입되도록 유도하여 주변이 더러워지는 것을 방지하기 위해서입니다.
If you need to remove the knock box by holding the porter filter, it should be easy to remove with one hand.
The front and side sides of the knock box cover are designed to be easily removed without friction.
In addition, to maintain the overall look, we designed the handle using the face instead of the protruding handle.
포터필터를 쥐고 넉박스를 꺼내야하는 상황일 경우 한 손으로 쉽게 분리할 수 있어야 합니다.
넉박스 커버의 정면과 측면 두 곳을 개방하여 마찰 없이 쉽게 꺼낼 수 있도록 디자인하였습니다.
뿐만아니라 전체적인 모습을 유지하기 위해 돌출된 핸들이 아닌 면을 이용한 핸들을 디자인하게 되었습니다.
Transparent bucket makes it easy to see the amount of water remaining.
투명재질의 물통은 남은 물의 양을 육안으로 쉽게 확인할 수 있습니다.
The slightly curved lid makes it easy to lift the lid.
끝 부분이 살짝 굽어진 뚜껑은 사용자가 쉽게 뚜껑을 들어올릴 수 있도록 도와줍니다.
Bucket, bucket support and grinder parts protrude.
This prevents heat and wires from coming out of the vent hole when the product is in close contact with the wall.
In addition, it is designed to have a sensible plasticity in a space like an Irish dining table.
물통, 물통받침부, 그라인더파트가 돌출되어 있습니다.
이는 제품이 벽면에 밀착됬을때 밴트홀에서 나오는 열기와 전선이 눌리는 것을 방지할 수 있습니다.
또한 아일랜드 식탁 같은 공간에서는 밋밋한 면 없이 감각적인 조형성을 띄도록 디자인하였습니다.
