2016: MINUSMA
Redeployment CH47 chinook back to the Netherlands.
When I was deployed to Mali the first step of pulling back out of the country where already in full swing. Our CH47 Chinook Helicopters where being moved back to the Netherlands.
The last Helicopter was picked up by a C17 Transport plane from Papa airbase in Hungary. This massive airplane landed on a dirt strip since the main runway on Gao was out of order.
