Korean Pansori Visualization

Project Overview

Pansori is a Korean traditional music that is passed on orally without music, and is a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity with high artistic perfection. This project provides easy access to the audiovisual experience of pansori culture to strangers, providing them with a visual experience of music.

The process is to categorize pansori sound with various components into a series of characteristics. Categorized data is visualized, such as icon, modularization, graphs, according to their features. Our goal of this project is to introduce the varied contents of pansori and to promote it as a competitive and valuable culture.

판소리는 악보 없이 구두로 전승되는 한국의 전통음악으로 예술적 완성도가 높은 세계문형유산입니다. 이 프로젝트는 판소리 문화가 낯선 사람들에게 음악이라는 청각적 경험을 시각적 경험을 풀어내 쉽게 접근합니다.

판소리는 다양한 구성요소를 지니고 있는 음악으로 판소리의 사운드를 일련의 성질들로 카테고리화하는 과정을 거칩니다. 카테고리화한 데이터들을 그 성질에 맞게 아이콘화, 모듈화, 그래프 등 시각화 합니다. 우리는 이 프로젝트로 인해 판소리의 다채로운 콘텐츠를 소개해주고, 경쟁력있고 가치있는 문화임을 알리는 것이 목표입니다.
