Google asked B-Reel to make a film where we show how you can integrate Google into your everyday life and
tasks and make life easier for you. It was to be shown at several devices at an event
Google had for press where they let the users go through real life situations and
how you can use google in them, in a space they created.
B-Reel have done a lot of projects with Google, but this was the first project I got to own at B-Reel.
I got to come up with the concept and story for the film as well as a script.
Art direction and photo shoot for the plates and casting and voiceover.
We were a big team of 3 designers, a bunch of motioners, editor, sound people,
music composer, two producers ++ and it turned out great!
I love it when I get responsibility and always end up doing a better job with a little bit of freedom. It was great to work on this project because B-Reel has so many talented people who see every detail and wants to go the extra mile to make it good, also they happen to be great mentors. I learned a lot about the process in these kinds of projects, about the order things should go in and that extra work makes it extra good. I also learned how important it is to have all eyes on the technical aspect of desktop films and how important it is to rather recreate the UI rather than just capturing it. And most of all I had so much fun!
