K-Jak is a Dutch travel agency specialising in into the wild canoeing trips in Scandinavia. The agency takes care of getting travellers to Scandinavia and into their canoe, after which they set out on a week long adventure by themselves, away from civilisation.

My assignment for this trip was to document one such week, using the owner, a journalist and some models as my subjects. The majority of these shots were authentic and not staged. At some points when the light was good and we found the perfect location, we’d direct our models a bit in order to obtain a more stylised image.

The final images are used by K-Jak in a variety of places, including their website, social media channels and some of their printed materials, in addition to being supplied to third party media.
