This is a book. But actually it's more like a catalogue. The catalogue of my impressions of the "simple things". They are things I see every day, things I use and don't give much thought to. But if I try to understand them without prejudice and convention I am able to get an endless source of inspiration in them. And, that's exactly what I wanted to convey — we can find inspiration in everything. It just requires us to concentrate and contemplate. To forget about everything we knew before and be just here and now.
This book is called "LIFESTYLE: the beauty in simple things". It is divided into three parts: home, wardrobe and food and it consists mostly of my drawings, photos and small notes in Russian or English (and some words are in Japanese).
There is also the fourth part — the smallest, but not in the meaning. It starts with Kenya Hara's quote about emptiness as potential and then there are two empty double pages.
To understand something is not to be able to define it or describe it. Instead, taking something that we think we already know and making it unknown thrills us afresh with its reality and deepens our understanding of it.
