Interlocking Papercrete Bricks
ORIGIN
This brick was designed to interlock, reducing the need for mortar in a stack. The paper used was entirely sourced from trash cans around RISD campus.

PRODUCTION
- Brick shape designed on Rhino, molds were cut out from plywood on a CNC
- Foraged paper was pulped and then combined with concrete and sand
- Pictured above right are the components used for pressing bricks. Each was pressed by hand, one by one.

MATERIALS
Recycled paper, concrete, sand
