ORIGIN

Designed to be light enough to be carried by my grandmother and strong enough to seat my parents. The form was inspired by lifeguard stands, materials were chosen for longevity. 

PRODUCTION

- Made entirely by hand

- The seat hinges on the back legs and folds out to rest on a stretcher connecting the front legs

- The entire bench folds to be flat

- Live joinery was used for strength

- The seat was woven by hand in a tweed pattern
