x! The Equation for Human Contentment

Within our lives there is a desired outcome we can define as x. To our understanding, we can achieve x through a combination of variables. For example, you desire a new car. To acquire the new car, you may need approval, insurance, reliability, a job promotion, a higher salary to then purchase it. All of these variables are contributing to the final outcome of the equation: x, being able to drive the car. Once you’ve driven the car, your desire has been satisfied and all that is left is you, the car and the temporary emotion of satisfaction.
