The following slideshow is a collection of images from a number of architectural projects I have worked on. These images include projects I have been involved in during my college career as well as jobs I have worked in the architecture field. The slides consist of site studies, hand drawings, CAD drawings and model building. The attached captions give a bit more insight to the individual images.
For this assignment I was tasked to develop a building on the given site and create a presentation in order to sell the construction to a board of architects, I  also had to develop a set of construction documents for the finished product. Above is a Revit model that I developed over the last semester. The space serves as a restaurant on the first level and office spaces on the second and third levels. I further developed the rendering using Lumion.
This project is a redevelopment of an old fire station in Mt. Jackson, VA. The developers requested a bar and restaurant in the vacated facility. This was the model my company developed to simulate the owners requests. At my firm I was responsible for adding designs and context to the existing model as well as keeping up with changes to the working permit set.
In this project we were tasked to design a model Ferris wheel to be built in the Bayfront Park area of downtown Miami. The image to the left is the final design that we came up with. We took inspiration from various nautical mediums. The compass rose was our main inspiration and we featured the shape prominently on the front of our Ferris wheel. The seats were shaped for our school’s symbol University of Miami’s “U”. We also decided on a three pronged support after lots of trial and error with various iterations. Our model ended up very closely resembling our drawing.
During the fall semester of 2018, I was tasked to do a study of one or multiple existing buildings in Lummus Park of Historic Miami. My group decided to study the building shown here, The Recreation Hall, and The Wagner House.
These are the hand drawings my group created of the buildings. The two images on the bottom were drawn by me, and the others, by my partner.  The top image is an elevation of The Recreation Hall.  Below that is a birds eye view looking at the front of the building. The first of mine is a close up, detailed image of the window on The Recreation Hall. The bottom image shows an oblique view of The Wagner House.
In tandem with the site study we conducted of Lummus Park. We were assigned to create a sort of entry way for the park consisting of a gate, an office space, bathrooms, a coffee shop and an open area. We took the inspiration from the two buildings we studied to create the space. The two images on the bottom were drawn by me and the ones on the top by my partner. The top image is a site plan at 1/16” scale of our structure included in the park. Below that is the gate design at 3/8” scale that we came up with. The next image is the ceiling plan at 1/8” scale. This is what it would look like to stand under the structure and look up at the roof. The final drawing is the elevation at 1/8” scale of our complete structure.
In this assignment we were to create a scale model of a type of early wooden architecture. This is an image of me constructing one the side walls of a balloon frame structure based on the Autocad specifications of another group member.
This project was a redevelopment of an existing a single family home in Baltimore, MD. The new design featured multiple single and two-bedroom apartments. Also above are a pair axonometric views of the first and second level of the model that my company developed.  After the original model was given to me I had to update the file routinely to reflect current specifications. I was also responsible for updating the permit set.
