Znak. Ukrainian Trademarks 1960–80s. An exhibition curated by U,N,A collective

“Znak” explores trademark graphics of the designers who worked at the Kharkiv branch of the USSR Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the 1960s–1980s. It compares design in the Ukrainian, Soviet and the worldwide contexts. Project’s goals are to return the forgotten names of outstanding artists such as Volodymyr Pobiedin, to raise the problem of the state of Ukrainian design archives and to show how the modernistic heritage may be transformed and act in the new media.
