“The Museum Age” Book — 100 Years of Murom Museum History
“The Museum Age” is based on the memoirs of the employees and the archival documents; the book tells about the formation and the development of the museum and is the most comprehensive publication about the history of the Murom Museum. The visitor usually sees only the exhibition halls, but after reading the book he will learn about the other side of the museum life and will look into its vaults. A century of the museum experience will be interesting and rewarding for professionals as well.
Our goal was to make the book modern and entertaining and to fit a large amount of information into a certain number of pages.
The work on the project lasted only 3,5 months starting from receiving materials to transferring the printed circulation of books. This is a very short time for such a meaningful publication. Well-prepared and structured materials provided by the museum staff were very helpful.
The publication “The Museum Age: to the 100th anniversary of the Murom Museum” received a diploma in the nomination “Literature about Art” at the V Regional Competition “The Book of the Year in Vladimir”. There were more than 100 books of competitors, 82 editions were shortlisted. 500 copies of the book were published in hardcover.
