BEAN BAG Pusku Pusku, Lithuania

Bringing innovation into a product like bean bag has been a big challenge.
In most cases bean bag is made of only one material and has a shape that is difficult to control. It’s shape is loose and it transforms according to the weight and movements of person who sits on it.
When we approached this new project, we wanted to create something different – introduce significant changes, creating a product that stands out and offers benefits not only from a formal / aesthetic point of view but also functionality.
The first objective was to find a form that would be recognizable and characteristic. We were looking for a form that allows a better control of the product’s shape.
By making many physical mock-ups, we analysed the beanbag sewing templates and recomposed them in a way allows combining different colors, which makes a product special and unique.
The study of ergonomics was the third step of innovation.
Tube proposes a more rigid backrest, providing more comfortable support for the back; all thanks to the positioning of the seams and the optimal shape definition. Tube becomes an extremely comfortable seat not only to relax, but also to work or read.
