Baby Teether Product, Brand, and Packaging Design

BaoBao Brand Image:
BaoBao User Persona:
Target user: upper-middle class, two parent home, eco and health conscious millennial parents. Most likely first time parents, these users want the best for their child, and are willing to pay a higher price for it.
Current Market Inspiration:
Based off user research and information gleaned from interviews, I wanted to maximize textured surface areas for teething in order to preserve product utility, while also maintaining an organic, sophisticated product aesthetic.
Product Design Process:
Complementary red-green color scheme is eye-catching, whimsical, and reinforces BaoBao's organic brand image.
Final Model:
Final baby teether model was 3D modeled in Fusion360, then 3D printed in ABS. After sanding, spackling, priming, and more sanding, the model was painted with acrylic paint.
Packaging Design Process:
Initial product packaging idea: a box with a cut-out window to reveal the product, when sitting on the shelf, picking up the product would imitate the act of picking a root vegetable/plant. Although interesting in concept, ultimately I decided this would obstruct the product's form/texture too much.
Laser-cut blister card template used for final packaging; allows for emphasis on product form and efficient shelf storage.
