Stickers for Women Walk at Midnight

We Walk at Midnight is a group of women - who walk at midnight - because they can!

We Walk at Midnight did a 12-hour relay walk on the eve of 14th August from 8.00 pm to 8.00 am. When someone reached out to ask if I would work with them, somewhere in the crazy joy being asked, of getting to work on something that ticked all my interests, I also met and spoke with a whole bunch of amazing women and got to meet people I never would have met in a setting I would never have imagined. Dragged myself out (immediately after two days of a work event) to get to see stickers with something I drew put all over the city (of course, only took the worst pictures distracted by discussions on laws on vandalism and free speech) - ended up home with that being one of the smallest pleasures in a fulfilling night I didn't want to walk away from. I also then did another version for another walk in December 2019.

Eventually, because of the great work they're doing, I've spotted my stickers so often in spaces I wouldn't imagine - watching an actress I love very much sing - I saw one on someones phone as they recorded her, on someones laptop as they post on something else and the loveliest of all on the streets of some little European country I have never been to and might never be. There are plenty of reasons this has been one of my favourite projects and the design bit only slightly factors in.
