Info-graphic - Anaemia
I was tasked to design an info-graphic in order to summarise and group large amounts of data on a topic of my own choosing and then using this info-graphic to inform a target audience about the chosen topic. I chose to design an info-graphic on the topic of Anaemia. Anaemia is a curable illness that many South Africans, especially those in a lower income bracket, suffer from due to a lack of vitamins and minerals needed in an average diet in order to produce enough iron in the body. Many South Africans are not aware of what Anaemia is, its symptoms or its treatments. I created this info-graphic to inform South Africans, specifically those living in poorer conditions and on a lower income, about the illness and how to know if they have it and how to treat it themselves. I chose to illustrate a heart, as the heart is a trigger for blood and moving oxygen around the human body- Anaemic persons do not have enough iron to move enough oxygen throughout their body.
