Redbull - April Fools Campaign

 I was tasked to conceptualize an April Fools Day campaign for a brand of my choosing to be executed over social media platforms. The specified platforms were Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; each of which appeals to a different target market and uses a different style of communication. Using Redbull as my brand, I crafted an April Fools Day campaign that would serve as an advertisement for three new, fake flavours of Redbull- ginseng, lavender and green tea- each of which offer a different benefit for the drinker. To craft my advertisements, I took inspiration from Redbull’s illustrative style within their existing advertisements and used this style to create a narrative through the three illustrations above; each one communicating a literal narrative as to why each flavour would be needed- ginseng to make you smarter, green tea to make you happier and lavender to make you feel at peace with yourself. I then tagged my advertisements with the hashtag of #totalBullexperience, a play on the name of the brand and an abbreviation for a swear word meaning nonsense. The colours chosen are representative of each flavour- orange for ginseng, green for green tea and lavender for lavender.
