IT HURTS
This was an output of the International Open Elective conducted at National Institute of Design Ahmedabad, guided by Sumaira Abdulali and Hitesh Chaurasia.
BRIEF: To spread awareness about noise pollution
PROBLEM IDENTIFIED: people underestimates the intensity of pain caused by noise pollution cause any verbal description of its effects fail to portray the real tortures faced by many. .
APPROACH: To try and visually depict the true indescribable horrors of noise pollution (WOULD PEOPLE CARE IF PAIN WAS VISIBLE). Using data from google form that asks people to share their experience of noise pollution and then try to sculpt them into literal form.
WHY SCULPTURE: as it can can create a much needed real and stronger visual impact.
