The Real Story Behind Valentine’s Day 

Valentine’s Day teaches us about love, sacrifice and commitment...It’s a day of flowers, candy and cards decorated with hearts. This special day originated at the end of the 5th century when Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine. A simple Christian priest named Valentine came forward and stood up for love. 

It's unsurprising to know that Valentine‘s Day was founded based on the concept of love in a marriage.  Giving a gift and a card, having a candlelight dinner, and sharing words of love are all important and the true spirit of Valentine's Day needs to last throughout the year.
