Screen Junkies | a satirical look at our relationship with technology (2019)

It all began with a couple of sketches created during a day of professional development (I'm a teacher).

This was a spray painted background I created using stencils. On the right is the background, cleaned up and cropped. I'd been experimenting with importing painted imaged to use as color in a digital piece.

Using Procreate

To add color, I imported my background. I changed the hue and saturation to create a variety of color throughout the piece but did not move the background so that the various textures or dots and gears were in the same place. I did import 2 additional spray painted pieces for the monitors.

The same background was used throughout the series.
