“Book” is an interactive e-reader application for iPad which appeals to children aged 6-8, and it offers a different reading experience, permitting them to make changes in the e-book according to their preferences. Via the “Book” app, children can make changes in colours of typefaces, background, and book characters (the user can modify all the pages or just one), and also they can create their own book covers. Besides, “Book” includes some surprises in order to create interactions and make a different reading experience. This experience permits you to create your own version of the book both in digital and printed form, and it increases the interaction between e-books and users. Moreover, e-books are personalized by children and they are printed and sent by iBooks authors to the children’s addresses. Children can give their customized versions of printed books to their friends as a gift or they can keep them in their own library. The most important feature of the application is the fact that it gives the children a chance to apply what they thought, by experiencing both digital and printed books.
