From the beginning of 2020, the XL stamp was put on the Dutch market by PostNL, to send packages that fit through the letterbox. The design depicts the use of the seal because it is itself a box.

The XL stamp is approximately twice as large as the average stamp. A customized punch design was made for the perforation. In order to give the stamp the appearance of a box, a small corner of the rectangle is cut away at the top left and bottom right. Combining this with printed colored bars on the left and bottom creates a spatial effect. In addition, the punch of the stamp consists of arrows in repetition. The graphical representation consists of the same arrows that point in all directions; all directions where the packages can be delivered. These arrows also point to the edges of the stamp, as a delimitation of the size of shipments for which the XL stamp is intended. The robust value indication XL complements the design of the stamp.
