We live in a society where we are encouraged to share everything… from our greatest fear, our most hated, our beloved, our long engagements, our sad affairs and our cherished smiles, hopes and dreams. We are overshadowed by the landscape of ideals that we co-create, acting as if everyone else is watching our every move.
But then, we have these moments, where we don’t. We shut the door and turn the gadgets off, we breathe to pause and keep everything to ourselves.
We find solace within and find a place where little secrets are whispered in the air, a personal sanctuary, a mirror that we cover so no one else can see the reflection except us. This is what we call our Secret Garden.
Secret Garden is a group exhibit that presents 19 female artists who deals with their personal revelations and explorations in life, showing their hidden aspirations and untold stories trough different art processes and practices, a celebration of an all-female creativity and direction, with works ranging from painting, illustration, design, installation and assemblage.
