"The Finellis" is a sitcom created by Mark Janicello, telling the chaotic life of the Finelli's family. At the end of each episode, the father Tony makes up bedtime stories where his two litte girls, Lola and Lena, become the magical heroines of an extraordinary circus.
For the pilot, we were asked to make a proof of concept of those sequences, in a classic 3d animation style.
Most of the backgrounds and objects were painted in photoshop. On the other side, the characters and the caravan where modelled, rigged, animated and rendered in Maya, with a simple cartoon shader and a touch of painted texture for the faces. All the post-production animations and editing were made in After effects.
