Kebabistan is an oriental restaurant located in the heart of Yerevan. The name means “A land of Kebabs”, so Davel’s team came up with a brand identity of a faux republic. Just like every other ancient nation and country, Kebabistan was also supposed to have all the necessary attributes for a state: constitution, map, flag, coat of arms, army, citizenship, passport, ID, president, parliament, prime minister, history, culture, unique cuisine and more.
Our team took an out-of-box approach for Kebabistan’s branding and marketing solutions, which has humor, attraction, taste and fun.
The coat of arms of Kebabistan pictures three animal-friends: a pig, a cow, and a chicken. They are the most “beloved” animals of Kebabistan’s citizens. Creating a faux map was the most fun and challenging part. Each of the locations on the map is associated with food, or drink. The capital has a different name though, it is named after the founder of the state-restaurant: Steve. So it’s called Stevakert.
The ID card and passport for Kebabistan follow all world standards and are identical to international ones. ID serves as a discount card and gives "citizenship" to the loyal visitors of Kebabistan.
The passport-shaped bill holder is another fun thing.
All attributes necessary for a restaurant are also republic-themed.
The logo is in a linear and minimalist style. The restaurant's name in Latin script is split up with hyphen to give the logo a more distinctive and bold look.
Kebabistan’s brand colors are black, white and red.
The logo, aka the flag, is all in black and white and only a small part of it has a red highlight to add an appetizing mood.
The business card was created in a linear and minimalist style.
The menu was also created with the preservation of the brand’s style. Menu Elements have a subtle and stylish combination of black, red and white, with an outline of Kebabistan’s map in the background.
Flyer also follows the menu's visual logic, making the brand's style consistent.
