The cloud - by Aroob Karni
This project was about developing a package for a product of our choice. I chose to design the package for Aroob’s cloud. Aroob is a talented Saudi maker. Enjoys making spectacular weaving pieces with natural materials. The Cloud is one of her best selling and significant artworks. In her artworks generally, and this one specifically, she loves to use different kinds of threads and yarns, with the addition of using a natural wood stick. In this package, I used three materials; wood, acrylic, and paper to reflect the variety. Moreover, since most of Aroob’s clients would love to try and learn how to make their pieces, the package could be used as a weaving loom after taking the art-piece out.
To prevent threads from tangling wooden combs were added at the top and bottom of the package.
Two wooden hangers were added at the top of the package to hold the stick.
