KURA REBRANDING

Near the end of 2018 I worked together with Portuguese DJ/producer KURA and his team to develop a new branding identity for 2019 that would better represent his evolution as an artist as well as his new musical style.

We opted to represent KURA’s energy and high impact as well as his devotion to perfectionism by using a blend of brutalism and minimalism, with textures and design elements inspired by classic and analog, but with a modern twist, as a visual way to represent KURA’s new modern take on his old electronic influences. The colours also established an analogy with KURA’s creative output as well as following the guidelines set for the brand, with black and white representing the minimalism and simplicity while red, a powerful and captivating colour, embodies KURA’s energetic DJ sets and strong sounds on his productions.
These are some shots from the work I developed, including parts of the brand manual and various visuals based on his new identity.
