Title sequence breakdown
The movie starts off with an opening sequence that includes all main actors and major creative roles. A series of elegant close up shots of the miniature model of a major bank is shown during the entire 1 minute of the title sequence. Each scene is overlaid with the credits in red fonts, one by one, as well as blueprints of the building and sketches of an apparent crime plan on the structure’s walls and floors.
The miniature model of the bank is the exact model that the robbers use to study the bank’s complexities in the planning for the big heist. This relation is proven more by the overlays of texts and diagrams which hints on how the heist is planned. Every overlay highlights different and important aspects of the heist such as the bank’s security system and identifications of important hostages.
Music of the title sequence is slow ballad music which gives the impression of calmness and elegance, while the vocals of the music emphasize the words “i don’t care at all” which invokes a strong character into the overall scene.
Lastly, the structure of the miniature model is lit by a direct light source through the pillars and windows that creates a dramatic lighting to the whole scene.
