The inspiration for my typeface "Buckle" was a dog collar. I was inspired by the clip or buckle of a dog collar and wanted to see how I could incorporate it into a typeface. For my modular typeface I wanted to create a sans-serif typeface that was rounded to resemble my object of inspiration. The components I incorporated into my typeface design are the leather body of the collar, the two separate parts of the clip/buckle, the metal adjuster and the small circular metal piece usually found on dog collars. Each letter is composed of one or more collars, all having both ends of the buckle.
