Next Issue Media was formed to develop, market and deliver interactive digital editions of the world’s most popular magazines optimized for a variety of digital devices. This June, as a social media and marketing intern with Next Issue, I helped launch “My Dad Is A Champion Of”, a low-cost Father’s Day Facebook Campaign that aimed to generate online engagement through innovative design. The idea was to provide our online community members with Father’s Day badges that can be shared to award dads for their special traits or accomplishments. The badge ideas came from the Facebook crowdsourcing, where we encouraged our followers to share what their dear old dads do best. Although the campaign was based online, I continued this design project by employing the badge elements to other offline products that would be perfect for a Father’s Day social event.
