How You Like Your Eggs?
Eggs are a great diet item. They are rich sources of essential vitamins and nutrients and help support a healthy immune system. People all around the world enjoy eggs and the various ways to cook them. This article lists down the more common types of eggs eaten around the world:

Hard-boiled: This is the most classic way of eating an egg. A hard boiled egg is cooked in its shell in boiling water. It is called "hard" because of the consistency of the egg white and the yolk, which generally have a firm texture. It is also very easy to make. Simply fill a pot with water to cover the eggs by about two inches. Bring the water to a boil and then drop the eggs in, leaving them for around 10 to 12 minutes. These eggs are ready to consume after peeling the shell. Most people eat them with a sprinkling of salt.

Soft-boiled: These are cooked the same way as hard-boiled eggs but the cooking time is reduced in half. This hardens the egg white but leaves the yolk runny. The most preferred method for soft-boiled eggs is called the "six minute egg". As the name suggests, this involves cooking the egg for only six minutes.
Hard scrambled: Hard scrambled eggs are made when both the whites and yolks are broken and mixed. With hard scrambled eggs, the egg is cooked all the way through. This is normally the standard preparation of scrambled eggs in most restaurants.

Soft scrambled: Otherwise known as "wet" scrambled eggs, these are a bit runny. As with a soft-boiled egg, the cooking time for this is much less than its hard counterpart. Most people add a little milk to the mixture for added moisture. Soft scrambled eggs are best served on top of buttered toast.

These are the most common ways people enjoy their eggs. Take note though that the quality of the dishes also depends on the quality of the egg. Remember to always choose the freshest eggs!
