I enjoy making glueless boxes. Glue is not my preferred binding type because it doesn’t age well and I find it unreliable when it comes to transportation and natural light exposure. The process of designing my own dielines drives me through a lot of model making and trial and error, but the end result is always captivating.

The soap box is made so the soap maker can fold his own boxes when needed. There will be no waste of storage space and the costs/box will be lower since the soap maker will receive the unformed boxes.

As you can observe, there are few steps to follow and the process is quick and painless.

I wrote straightforward names for each product to highlight sustainable and streamlined direct to consumer practices. For the typography on the boxes, I chose a set of capital letters I sketched some time ago, while attempting to create a typeface.

I typed the ingredients and care instructions texts on my Olivetti Lettera 32.

I name all my dummy brands “KEWL”.
This allows me to showcase projects that had excellent early versions but ultimately developed into something else.
The glueless soap box and the capital letters of a typeface I started working on a while ago, make a good example.

Thank you!
