When Muang Thai's current owners took over the restaurant, they wanted to breathe new life into the 15-year old establishment. They worked with a talented chef to create an authentic Thai menu and brought us in to bring this authentic Thai experience to life.

It was important for the Muang Thai team that the brand pay tribute to Thailand in the way it looked, and as a restaurant that promised authentic Thai fare, it was only rightfully so.

We took inspiration from a number of uniquely Thai elements—such as batik patterns and ubiquitously Thai ingredients—to showcase the richness and decadence of Thai cuisine. Our overall approach is equally thoughtful as it is bold, a perfect match for a cuisine doused in tradition but never without a kick.

The logo features a medley of Thai plants and ingredients like Thai holy basil and cilantro. The finished image, taking cues from a woodcut stamp, serves as a seal of Muang Thai's utmost quality and taste. We paired it with a slim, sans serif logotype for a sophisticated and modern appeal.

We designed a custom Batik pattern with various plants and spices used in Thai cuisine and culture, as well as illustrated the different ingredients—including hibiscus and orchid flowers, peppercorn blooms, and Thai holy basil—in addition to touches of Thai clouds, icons of Thai tradition.
