Lulletje Rozenwater / Library Concept

For this assignment I worked together. Eindhoven Library wanted to collaborate with influencers.
The goal: attract new visitors. We quickly agreed that your personal circle influenced you the most. You trust a friend faster than someone on Instagram. That is how we came up with the idea of organising an event.
The idea behind the event is nostalgia at the ‘Kinderboekenweek’ that we used to have at school.
An Kinderboekenweek for young adults. The event should remind you of the pleasure of the past during the Kinderboekenweek.

To remain relevant as a library, you have to make it a place for people instead of a place for books. In this way we want to bring back the pleasure of reading but above all attract new audiences to the library.
We wanted to use old Dutch words to promote our event. In this way the link between vocabulary and the library is made and it is also an ode to the Dutch language.
The old Dutch words also serve as a metaphor for the books that we have forgotten.
By putting children’s drawings in a different jacket, it is no longer so innocent and makes it an attractive image.

‘Geiten Fuifje’ is a party especially for girl students. This word perfectly describes what the image entails. A bit dirty or nasty. Exactly what it describes because you never know what happens at such a party.
The translation of ‘Lulletje Rozenwater’ is someone who is soft or a wimp. Otherwise there is no meaning attached to it but what a great word it is!
‘Zinsbegoocheling’ is something that does not correspond to reality. The image indicates this.
