Image of Ares.

I thought up costumes and style for a musical group Nimphonoe (images of ancient Greek gods in modern times).

► Searching for ideas for a stage image, I took the name of the group and their logo and started to invent the costumes. I re-read history, symbolism, took into consideration the logo design and suggested to take the character and purpose of the ancient Greek gods as a basis for the stage image, and use their attributes, black and white colors, Greek symbols in costumes, whether it be a famous meander ornament.

► Focusing on the appearence of members of this band, I chose for the stage image the following gods: Hermes, Dionysus and Ares. In appearance and character, they fit the types of guys and have something in common with musical instruments and roles in the band. The image of Ares is shown here. ► I also made the minimum option of costumes for the stage image of the archetypes of all three gods, using only everyday things and details that are characteristic for these archetypes. About this, as well as symbolism and the creation process, watch my blog about style.

The third image is Ares. In ancient Greek mythology, this is one of the gods of Olympus: the god of war, bloodshed, bringing death and destruction; god of military guns; patron of war; the ancient Greek ideal of a brave warrior.

• Description in one word: warrior.

• Qualities, character of Ares: two sides of character, namely: a god who seeks war and destruction; young warrior and lover of Aphrodite.

• Attributes of the god Ares: helmet, sword and armor; spears; burning torch; kite (vulture); dogs; his companions - the goddess of discord Eris (quarrel) and the violent, bloodthirsty Enio; his horses bore the names: Glitter, Flame, Noise, Horror; his companions on the battlefield, children: Deimos (horror) and Phobos (fear).

• Musician: guitarist

• Musical instrument: guitar.

• Appearance type of the musician: the most brutal character - Dramatic. And the second is Gamin.

• A suitable image: a bandit, a kind of "macho", handsome. Cheeky beauty and deep masculine philosophy.

• Motto: moderately brutal, elegant and very courageous, stylish (not “burned”), free, self-sufficient and knowing its own worth.

• Recommended costume style: “bad boy” + high-military.

Образ бога Ареса.

Я придумала костюмы и стиль для музыкальной группы Нимфоное (образы древнегреческих богов в современности).

► Для поиска идей сценического образа я взяла название группы «Нимфоное» и их логотип. Перечитала историю, символику, учла дизайн логотипа и предложила ребятам взять для  сценического образа в качестве основы характер и предназначение древнегреческих богов, а в костюмах использовать их атрибуты, черно-белую гамму и греческую символику, будь то известный орнамент меандр.

► Ориентируясь на типажи участников этого бэнда, для сценического образа я выбрала следующих богов: Гермес, Дионис и Арес. По внешнему виду и характеру они подходят под типажи ребят и перекликаются с посылом музыкальных инструментов и ролей в бэнде. Здесь показан образ Ареса. А образы двух других богов вот: Дионис и Гермес.

► Также я сделала минимальный вариант костюмов для сценического образа архетипов всех трёх богов, используя всего лишь повседневные вещи и характерные для архетипов детали. Об этом, о символике и процессе создания смотри по ссылке в моём профиле (блог о стиле).

Третий образ ― Аре́с или Аре́й. В древнегреческой мифологии это один из богов Олимпа: бог войны, кровопролития, несущий гибель и разрушение; бог военных орудий; покровитель военных действий; древнегреческий идеал храброго воина.

· Описание одним словом: воин.

· Качества, характер Ареса: две стороны характера, а именно: бог, стремящийся к войне и разрушению; молодой воин и любовник Афродиты.

· Атрибуты бога Ареса: шлем, меч и доспехи; копья; горящий факел; коршун (стервятник); собаки; спутницы — богиня раздора Эрида (ссора) и неистовая, кровожадная Энио; его кони носили имена: Блеск, Пламя, Шум, Ужас; спутники на поле боя, дети: Деймос (ужас) и Фобос (страх).

· Музыкант: гитарист

· Музыкальный инструмент: гитара.

· Типаж музыканта: наиболее брутальный типаж — Dramatic.  А второй — это Gamin.

· Подходящий образ: разбойник, эдакий «мачо», красавчик. Дерзкая красота и глубокая мужская философия.

· Девиз: в меру брутальный, элегантный и очень мужественный, стильный (не «жигало»), свободный, самодостаточный и знающий себе цену.

· Стиль рекомендуемый для костюма: “bad boy” + high-military.
