I single-handedly designed, digitally painted and animated this 4-minute music video telling the tragic story of two young soldiers in the First World War. The style and content was a marked departure from much of my usual work, so this was a very interesting and satisfying challenge. I took inspiration from the Paul Nash's wartime paintings and Elem Klimov's harrowing WWII movie "Come and See" to create a dark and textural atmosphere, combining 2D and 3D layers to evoke analog multiplane animation.
