Typography Process Journal
I began this project by writing down the feeling I wanted to achieve. I wrote youthful, childlike, and personable. The word childlike resonated with me, and I decided to dig up some of my artworks from when I was younger for inspiration.
I came across a page with a drawing of a one legged chicken, followed by a poem about said chicken. And I thought, how perfect. Because if there’s any way to describe my journey through learning about good typography it’s wobbly, awkward, and sometimes a little funny. Just like a one legged chicken. So I am the one legged chicken. I was the awkward stumble of chaos throughout this class.
This quirky approach to my process journal is personable and relatable. Because no one is always perfect, and we’re all, in some ways, a one legged chicken.
