Staunton Vineyard

Client: Staunton Vineyard (fictitious)

The goal of the overall design of the label was to capture the essence of the northern shores of the Long Island Sound to reflect the location and history of the vineyard. The curved die-line cut in the label represents the rough shores on a late-night high-tide during the summer, which is when I drink a glass of wine with my friends on the beach. Finally, the coloration of the painted wave form mimics that of the sea foam that cultivates at the edges of the shoreline, while hinting at the greens of freshly made sea glass. The curved text mimics the forms of the surfboards one can see on the south shore and the movement of the waves on the north shore.
