Riparian House was an entry for the Aridlands Competition that sought innovative solutions to the problem of water wastage in states like Nevada.

Our entry was a radical re-imagining of the way people used, and reused water. The majority of the water in the area comes from snowmelt and surface runoff from the Rocky Mountain range, and our house attempts to collect that water for use and re-use.
The house is arranged around a large "Waterwall", that separates and filters water for use in the house.

As such, the building's rooms are oriented around their water usage, rather than their domestic usage, so that people who live in the house are permanently aware of their water usage.
