Glass and Mirror Craft

This project shows the 2015 Glass and Mirror Craft logo update and the new 2019 Glass and Metal Craft parent company branding.
Established in 1964 Glass and Mirror Craft is one of the top US Glass fabrication companies with national and international clients. In 2015 Glass and Mirror Craft underwent a large corporate re-branding and modernization to align their look to their message. I was brought on board to refresh their logo, marketing materials and voice.

The client wanted a logo similar to its current logo as there was fear that too much of a change could scare their current clientele. The goal, to make it familiar yet simpler. To make it bold and recognizable with intent to in the future have part of the logo stand without the need of its supporting text. To align the colors with industry and stray from the very collegiate previous styles.

This logo re-branding was also set to open a patch for a future change in establishing a parent company that better defines the direction and capabilities in the company.
In 2019. Glass and Metal Craft was established as parent company For Glass and Mirror Craft. But now, it would expand to include Cuda Architectural Metals and Fulcrum Architectural Design Assist (another project for me to work on).

The New Glass and Metal Craft logo was originally intended to simply replace the text "Mirror" design after allowing current clients to become more familiar with the new look. However the client decided to retain the original brand and simple put it under the new "Metal" umbrella.

As is important in all projects, we needed to brain storm and come up with some options. I created a few different variants but ultimately decided on this version. I provided the powers to be with different color choices and included an image that I found a while ago to help explain colors and moods. I'm not expert in color theory, and they were even less. Understanding color and what message it sends it important.

The client ended up choosing the red, white and blue option (#2 in second proposal page). Their current message of sourcing US Glass and all American Made has helped them earn green (LEED) points which has been very beneficial in the Architectural Community.
