This illustration is for DAKILA PH‘s #WeTheFuture, a small exhibit made to showcase different perspective of a future Philippines. My work is optimistic to that it metaphorically showcases a dark future but where heroes always comes to save the day (I mean, you know, considering how grim our current tomorrow is, its nice to think a bit happier about the future sometimes).
Firs of the Space Engkantos “Dr. Santelmo”, a ball of fire of science who aims to rid the ‘kalawakan’ of ignorance! With him is “Tikabalang Pangkalawakan” a specialty space ranger who made it his mission to destroy corruption in every aspect in the ‘kalawakan’. And finally, the K.A.P.R.E., whose eventual meaning of the name is but long forgotten. No one knows where the K.A.P.R.E. came from, or even his motives are, but what everyone do know is he is a force of absolute goodness.
THEY ARE THE SPACE ENGKANTOS, AND THEY ARE HERE TO SAVE THE DAY!
