Design is sentenced to art.
Design and art coexist in tiny studios, as well as in major museums.
The first defines the body, the second the soul of an object.
Who has what? Vases, glasses, boxes physically define a portion of a void space, making it visible and usable.
They are objects that in fact "contain emptyness" when not used.
Ghosts of solid content, short-lived. We call them "objects".
There are also disguised as content objects. We call them "works"
Anything that has "capacity" defines its own space, so its own shape.
melting "works" and "objects" is for me creating something that is full and empty at the same time.
I created the "castl" in soft polyurethane foam by setting pots. I filled the cavity with the same material getting soft sculptures, made to be touched.
The items are handmade by craftsmen, and even in small series and unique for each color and peculiarities of production.
The two pieces fit together and mingle, creating an object when they are together "neverempty".
The first set of vessels produced in this way takes its forms by humans, synthesis of form and sometimes content.
The soul of these pots, therefore, becomes a human piece that defines the internal form: hands, fingers, tongue, feet, penis, eyes, hair, teeth, sinuses, heart, brain, ears, nose ..
Anyone can empathize.
It's the object that becomes human, and humanity that becomes the object.
items are from the dual nature of containers as vases, content as a "sculpture".
These Foam objects if stripped of their identity are full of humanity, and reaching out to those who can do volume within a contour.
