We collaborated with Jordan to produce a mural for their brand new store in Chongqing. We commissioned China-based artist and illustrator Pierrick Calvez to create an artwork that would celebrate the Brand as well as the city.
He came up with a striking piece that is strong and poetic at the same time.
Here's a bit more about his thoughts and inspiration on this project:
"When you land in Chongqing, you see layers.
A deep fog is wrapping up the city, flowing around the buildings. Piercing through, you can see the ground. Then below, more ground. Then more, descending to the depths. Then it’s water, plane like a maple wood floor. People are not walking in Chongqing. They’re floating. On suspended monorails or hanging from cable cars. Because the ground is hot lava. Chongqing is fun and spicy.
A dream playground for His Airness, dunking to imaginary heights."
