Materials used: Acrylic and Black Markers


"Rhythm" was created based on the movements of musicians while they are playing their various instruments. The aim was to create a portrait that showcases the enthusiasm of a dedicated musician. The instruments were not drawn in so as to give the viewers a moment to think and ponder on the real meaning of this piece. 

The colors used were cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The simplicity of the outlines of the musicians with the splashes of paints adds on to the feeling of a musical festival is going on.


This canvas was exhibited during the Pesta Penang's Open Art Exhibition in late December 2009."
