On September 12th, 2019, 2CPR Group hosted an event to promote career pathways in the audiovisual (AV) industry for high school students. The event was a partnership between AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association), 2CPR Group, Bayha Group, and Pier Collective and was hosted by the LA Coliseum. The primary objective of the event was to provide students with an immersive experience in the world of AV production and facilitate career pathways in the industry.
The AV industry is rapidly growing and encompasses a wide range of technologies and applications. AVIXA is the leading trade association for the industry, providing education, certification, and networking opportunities for its members. The AVIXA Audiovisual Essentials course and certification program is recognized worldwide as a standard of excellence in the industry.
The event brought together 150 students from various high schools, AV and digital media vendors, education and community leaders from the greater Los Angeles and Orange County communities. Companies like Canon, Sony, Clip Studio Paint, Gnomon, VMI, QSC, and others had tables and interacted with the students, giving them an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and tools used in the AV industry.
The event saw participation from students and administration from Downey Unified School District, Fullerton Union High School District, and Huntington Beach Union High School District. Through events like these, 2CPR Group and its partners are promoting the AV industry and providing hands-on experience to the next generation of professionals. By working closely with industry leaders, educators, and community partners, organizations are building a more diverse and skilled workforce to meet the growing demand for AV services.
"We are delighted with the success of this event and proud to have brought together such a diverse group of individuals and organizations to promote the AV industry and career pathways for high school students," said Chris Perez, CEO of 2CPR Group. "We believe that events like this are essential in helping students explore their passions and interests and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in their chosen careers."
The Los Angeles Coliseum is one of the most iconic sports and entertainment venues in the world, with a rich history that dates back to 1923. It has hosted several historic events, including the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games, the 1960 Democratic National Convention, and numerous Super Bowls, college football games, and concerts.
2CPR Group is committed to promoting career pathways in the AV industry and will continue to work with schools, colleges, and industry partners to provide students with the resources they need to succeed. The event was an excellent platform to promote the industry and encourage students to explore their interests and passions in the world of AV production.
