Shooting a VR film for Huawei’s DigiTruck project in late 2019. Here are some stills from the project. It was amazing to see how people were excited to learn basic computer skills and interact with smart devices. Was even more heart-filling seeing how women were excited about their certificates. The VR film was being shot on their graduation. Such a great experience.

DigiTruck is a project by Huawei Kenya that seeks to bring digital literacy closer to the people, with a specific focus on persons living in rural Kenya. The trucks are equipped with computers, smartphones, all powered by solar, and this allows the initiative to reach people in even the remotest parts of the country.

There’s so much that we take for granted, like just being able to use a smartphone, or open a Gmail account. So much we take for granted. I got to appreciate a lot from this project.
