School Brochure 2000s'

School Brochure, 2001 & 2002
--A series of school brochure that I did for my cousin while I was studying in ESL for college
The first version of 2001 had the cover in color, and the pages in black and white. Looking back, the redundancy of the school name on the cover amuses me.
As I revisit this particular version, it does give me that late 90s’ graphic design look.
I planted an Easter egg which was a shot of my ESL textbooks in the layout that had nothing to do with the school.
Next year it was reconsidered to have the whole brochure in color. On this version however, I did only the inside pages as my cousin wanted her friend to handle the cover with his exquisite methodology of design esthetic. The mural on the edge of inner title page was a photograph of the actual work done by an artist on the cafeteria wall in the school.
With colors, I gave the inside pages more energetic graphic elements besides flat photos.
Also, incorporating 2D character drawings with 3D toy objects was a cool idea admired by school staffs back then. School staffs weren't aware that the child drawing at the top left corner was a fake by me, a 20-year old adult.
An admission staff collaborating with me on this project put my name as credit on the back cover, saying I'm famous.
In 20 years, indeed, via a different means :D
